Where do we start
Hi all Brides-to-be, and Congratulations on your forthcoming BIG Day
Over the years of filming weddings in Tipperary, we have built up a powerful knowledge of locations, and all the trimmings that go hand in hand with weddings. We all know planning a wedding can be a stressful time, and that’s just for us guys! What with stag dos and getting our hair done, and having to put on our own suit the morning of the wedding… But seriously, it is a lot of hard work and planning but this website is here to help you plan from the minute he puts that ring on your finger to the moment you start your first dance as man and wife.
Of course your first port of call is to book your Church/ Service location. This is something that needs to be done fairly fast as your favourite location maybe booked out. Personally, I love the old country Church, where there is no traffic flying by, just some crows over head and the sound of gravel under foot.
For those of you that plan to get married in a Hotel, this also can be an intimate setting – Dundrum House Hotel is one that springs to mind.
Meeting the Priest/Minster/Registrar:
This is a must, if you wish to have your favourite one present for your Wedding. A Pre-Marriage Course is also required if you are to be married in a Catholic Church – these courses cost about 150 per couple.
Choosing Best man and Bridesmaids:
Well for the guys, its often a Brother/friend/College friend…………. or if you are really stuck the guy at the end of the bar the night before the wedding! The same for the girl except the guy at the end of the bar….. and her brother! These people can play a big part in helping you plan your wedding, from helping you choose your dress to painting your toe nails the morning of the wedding. The guys, well the stag do won’t plan itself and hopefully they will get him to the Church on time, and in one piece with all his hair and eyebrows intact!
